Robbert HartogOn January 29th a supergreat friend and strong supporter of our Aboriginal voluntary service organization passed away. Robbert Hartog’s commitment to affordable housing prompted him and his friend to donate $100,000 towards Project AMIK housing complex in East Toronto. For this facility now occupied by 50% Canadian first citizens and 50% by others, Frontiers Foundation was awarded the “Best Affordable Housing Practices†trophy.
At Frontiers Foundation, we hasten to write our heartfelt condolences to the family and all friends, together with our towering gratitude for his limitless interest and genuine support of our Foundation and Operation Beaver over 40 years. Sometimes he’d send us a four-figure cheque without us even asking. Of our fleet of six vehicles, three were donated by him. Last winter he gave us our prize: a 4 wheel Dodge Ram 2500 diesel crew cab.
May Robbert rest in peace and may the Great Spirit guard and keep him.
