Volunteers needed for North

Wrigley Kids and volunteer

Frontiers Foundation is seeking volunteers to work in the north of Canada either in the schools or with the youth of the communities. These projects are scheduled to begin in early September and continue for the school year, through to the end of June. We will be looking for volunteers to work as tutors and teaching assistants in schools throughout the Northwest Territories and we expect to have education projects in the communities of Inuvik, Wrigely, Hay River, Fort Simpson, Nahanni Butte, Trout Lake, and Fort Smith. We also have several projects that involve our volunteers putting on different programmes for the community youth and we will have the recreation projects in Tsiigehtchic, Fort Good Hope, Wrigley, and Trout Lake.

We will be accepting new applications through to the end of May for our projects starting in September and the sooner that you get your application in to us the better. This is a tremendous and unique opportunity to spend ten months working in a First Nations community in the far north of Canada and we are looking for outgoing, motivated, volunteers with a strong desire to meet people and learn about a new culture and way of life.
