Well known street nurse Cathy Crowe will be the guest speaker at Frontiers Foundation â??s Annual Breakfast to be held at Royal Bank of Canada headquarters in Toronto.
On April 18th Cathy Crowe, the co-founder of Toronto Disaster Relief Committee (TDRC) released her book "DYING for a HOME" at Sherbourne Health Centre. In it, she describes the life and struggles of ten activists that took the street of Toronto as their home. One of the homeless people described in her book is James Kagoshima who volunteered under FF Operation Beaver program; she is very critical of provincial and federal governments that seem determined to maintain homelessness rather than to provide affordable housing.
At the breakfast there will be an opportunity to purchase her book and even get it signed! Come and hear her presentation that will stimulate a positive discussion on solutions for homelessness.
This beautiful breakfast is again donated by the Royal Bank of Canada, our flagship corporate donor. Native cuisine including fresh pickerel, trout and other treats are the delicious contribution of our Ojibwa partners.
There is no admission charge but donations will be as gratefully received as they will be faithfully applied. To confirm your presence, please contact Marilyn (contact info below). As usual, our morning program will include thrilling native dancing and a silent auction.
